招生对象：招收在中国境内合法居留的外籍人员子女。经省教育厅批准，可适当招收在省内合法居留的香港、澳门特别行政区和台湾地区居民以及在境外依法定居的中国公民的子女。不得招收在中国境内定居的中国公民的子女。


2013年4月，杭州市拱墅区人民政府与上海均瑶集团合作办学，引进“上海市世界外国语小学”优质教育品牌，创办杭州上海世界外国语小学。学校以“让学生走向世界，让世界走进学校”为办学理念，小学部由中外教师包班授课，实行小班化教学。2015年2月，获批成为杭州世外外籍人员子女学校。2017年8月，学校正式被国际文凭组织授权为IB PYP学校。

2019年，杭州世外外籍人员子女学校的初中部在杭州落地。学校以“走向世界的现代中国人”为育人目标，为学生提供结合中外课程优势的融合课程，旨在培养具有“爱心、优雅、大气”品质的学生。教学以“积极参与，努力实践”（简称“P&P”，Participation & Practice）为核心教育理念，并逐步发展至“在参与中学会合作，在实践中学会创新”（简称“C&C”，Cooperation & Creativity），始终强调发挥学生的主体作用，挖掘学生的潜能，提升学生的创新能力。

杭州世外外籍人员子女学校关注学生知识的广博、身心的健康和潜能的挖掘，让学生全面均衡地发展，为培养有国际情怀、合作精神、探究能力和创新思维的终身学习者打下坚实的基础。


The Hangzhou Shanghai World Foreign Language International School(HWFL)  Group with the cooperation of  Gongshu Government of Hangzhou, creating the quality brand of HWFL. Following the school's philosophy of "Let the students embrace the world; Let the world be the part of the school life", foreign and local teachers work in tandem to implement lessons in small classes. The PYP Department has been authorized as an international school since 2015. HWFL was authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) and became an official IB world school in August, 2017.

The Integrated Curriculum Department of HWFL was launched in 2019.The Integrated Curriculum aims to prepare the new generation of Chinese with a fresh and modern global view. The Integrated Curriculum of HWFL helps the students to possess the attributes of caring, elegance and generosity. HWFL takes ‘P&P’, ‘C&C’ (Participation & Practice, Cooperation & Creativity) as the school philosophy, always emphasizing to exert the principal role of students, to fulfill their potential, to develop their team spirit and to focus upon their creative talent and abilities.

HWFL pays attention to the broad knowledge, psychological and physical development of students including the exploration of their real potential. This helps students to develop in a comprehensive and balanced manner, laying a solid foundation and cultivating lifelong learners with an international understanding, a spirit of cooperation, and an ability to think innovatively.
